Tuosist / Kenmare branch are hosting the Munster Fleadh Ceoil in 2008.

Lifetimes - Folklore from Kerry was launched recently in Muckross House. It features a number of interviews with an older generation of Kerry people who reflect on their childhood and the changes that have occured down through the years.It includes interviews with four Tuosist people. It is available at Tuosist Post Office, McCarthys Book Shop, O'Connors Book Shop,Kenmare and other shops around the County. Price €12.

A number of people from the Parish went on a Pilgrimage to Wurzburg, Germany for a week, Monday July 2nd - July 9th. Saint Killian is the patron saint of Tuosist and he was the missionary who first preached the faith in that region of Germany. The Pilgrims were recieved by the Bishop of Wurzburg and attended the Pontifical High Mass in the Cathedral on the saints' feast day, July 8th.

Bishop Bill Murphy celebrated the annual Mass in Kilmackillogue Graveyard on Friday 7th July assisted by Fr.John Buckley & Fr.Ted Harrington.A large crowd attended both the Mass & the traditional Rounds which were performed before the Mass.The Blessing of the Boats took place at Killmackillogue pier after Mass.

Tuosist I.C.A.celebrated 40 years of the branch in the Parish with a dinner in Cons Restaurant on Sunday 28th May.

EIGSE Sheain Ui Shuilleabhain is a cultural weekend in Tuosist,in honour of folklorist Sean O'Suilleabhain(1903-1996)with lectures,workshops and a heritage walk.History,folklore and archaeology.It is held every year on the first week end after Easter.

Members participate in games,arts & crafts,go on outings ,drama,sports & discussions. KDYS Tuosist Youth club meets in Tuosist Parish Hall every Friday night between 8-30 & 10-30pm.Members are aged 12 + or anyone who is attending second level school. Members come from all the surrounding areas - Lauragh,Ardea, Dawros. The club is run by local adult volunteers,who put in time & commitment to provide a youth service to young people.It is supported by Kerry Diocesan Youth Service(KDY

The Community Bus has been running for almost two years now. It has prooved to be a great success and is an invaluable service to people in the Tuosist area.It runs each Wednesday from Reenkilla Cross at 9.30am then to Glenmore, Lauragh Rd To Dromerkeen,the Coast Rd to Lehud then via Drombuhilly to Parish Hall on then on to Kenmare.
